The Event Strategy

Route Map.jpg

In short this would be a 2-5 day filmmaking bonanza. Our crew will tail the squad (three ideally) of Zenvanz (‘the flying V’) as they venture towards flagstaff, keeping schedule tight and on track with walkie talkies and tactical pre-production. By day we would choreograph and shoot magic hour exteriors of the vans with drones/sliders/nice cameras; we’d snag interviews here and there on the road with nice backdrops; maybe interiors while a van is moving (?) - in short a comprehensive shot list will be prepared. September is primetime for lighting.

By night we would collect some 'campfire/wagon circle’ footage, plan the next day, charge batteries, unload cards onto hard drives drives, organize gear, and hang.

Event Planning: As seen in the image above, we will try and deputize and incentivize all Zenvanz customers we can to join us for a potential ‘wagon circle.’ If it means driving 30 minutes out of the way to meetup with the ideal past customer, we can do it and BOOM, more production value. If we just focus on Jen and Bryan and their select friends, this also will work great.

Social Media: The great part of this concept is we can get people PRIMED for the actual event in flagstaff 5-10 days before arrival. We will post to social media platforms sharing the narrative of :

1) Getting ready to go 2) On the road photos and footage 3) What’s actually happening at the event

All posts will be tied to a strategic campaign that will highlight Zenvanz. Templates will be created before hand to easily plug content into and post with ease (i.e. motion graphics, logo, basic info, copy).

Logistics: I like to say that a strong filmmaking team would also thrive professionally as wedding planners. We’ll have everything ready with a plan B and a plan C, we’ll be two steps ahead at all times, we’ll entertain the guests while corralling them, and have a quick answer for everything because we’re prepared.

We can camp in our own vehicles or tents (Pete has an Element).

Drone Examples

Magic Hour and Primo landscapes will be perfect time for birds eye shots of the Zen Caravan.

  • 3-4 Setups at 60-90 min (2 sunsets, 2 sunrise?)

  • Heavy Walkie Talkie Use

  • Researched locations on the route that will have highest production value, BUT also an openness to this mentality: “let’s pull over now, this Nevada landscape in this light is giving me goosebumps so let’s stop and shoot here for an hour.”

Moving Vehicle Exteriors

These faster tripod/gimbal setups (no drones) would be great to have for multiple final assets in years to come, especially if we include ZenVanz interiors in the action (i.e. someone climbing in/out before/after a smooth parking job).

Updated copy, photo and video across all pages - Adding some stronger copy, and updated professional photos/videos so potential customers automatically think, “Yep, they’re obviously the best.”

  • Add an “About Us” film to the landing page - This allows a potential client to click play and see the Dangers living the lifestyle that they want. Past customers will support the message with their testimonials. See next slide for more details.

  • Add a blog page - Posting a blog at least weekly is an easy way to show that Zenvanz are the experts in their field. It shows that you care about your craft and educating others on how it all works. It will not only help grow your customer base, but also shows your peers why you’re the leader.

  • Bring potential clients onto a virtual tour - Updating the Project Gallery will show visitors what they came for in the first place. Let’s showcase your portfolio.

  • Add a chat feature - Some clients may feel like they don’t have the time to commit to a phone call for a quote, and this allows them to still provide your sales team with a new lead.

  • Improve SEO - Keywords, alt-image tags, etc. There’s a lot that can be done behind the curtain to make sure that Zenvanz pops to the top of the list anytime a potential customer needs your expertise.
